چکیده

In recent years, Earth system sciences are urgently calling for innovation on improving accuracy, enhancing model intelligence level, scaling up operation, and reducing costs in many subdomains amid the exponentially accumulated datasets promising artificial (AI) revolution computer science. This paper presents work led by NASA Science Data Systems Working Groups ESIP machine learning cluster to give a comprehensive overview of AI sciences. A New Restricted Earth Fault Relay Based on Artificial Intelligence

The restricted earth fault (REF) relay is a type of differential protection which is used for detection of internal ground faults of power transformers. But, during external faults and transformer energization conditions, the probability of current transformer (CT) saturation increases. Thus, the spurious differential current due to CT saturation, can lead to REF relay maloperation. In this pap...

Artificial Intelligence— A Modern Approach -- A Review

Within the past three years, several new AI textbooks have been published, all written by well-known researchers (Dean, Allen, and Aloiminos 1995; Russell and Norvig 1995; Shoham 1994; Ginsberg 1993). Thus, it is not surprising that the authors of each of these textbooks have sought a way to distinguish their own book from the rest. The hook for Stuart Russell and Peter Norvig's new textbook, A...

Empirical Methods in Artificial Intelligence: A Review

behavior) and analysis of variance, including methods for detecting interactions among variables. A chapter on modeling covers the use of linear regression and related procedures in characterizing system behavior, and the final chapter presents tactics for generalizing from empirical results. One of Cohen’s most important points concerns the goals of empirical AI research. Repeatedly, he asks w...

Review of Philosophical Logic and Artificial Intelligence

The papers presented here offer great contrast to the usual philosophical discussions. They are rigorous treatments of philosophical problems that are fully informed about research in artificial intelligence, and are directly concerned with the specific logical and epistemological issues that arise in attempting to automate reasoning and represent knowledge. Each one speaks directly to the conc...
